Burj Khalifa History:

Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world. The groundbreaking for Burj Khalifa was on January 4, 2004, and it took 22 months to complete. It was constructed in 2010 and has 163 floors, with a height of 829 meters. The Burj Khalifa is located on Sheikh Zayed Road in Downtown Dubai. 
The Burj Khalifa is not only famous for its iconic stature but also because it holds so many records including being the world's tallest man-made structure ever built, the tallest free-standing structure ever built, and more recently it was recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World by New7Wonders Foundation which selected this tower over other popular wonders such as Petra or Taj Mahal.

Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world.
It has more than 160 stories, and it stands more than 2,722ft (828m) tall. Burj Khalifa was designed by Adrian Smith of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), who based his design on traditional Islamic architecture with a nod to modernism.

The company behind its construction is Emaar Properties.

Burj Khalifa on New Year:

On the last day of the year, people all over the world wait for a special moment to commemorate. In Dubai, this is no different. The Burj Khalifa holds a magnificent firework display every year on New Year's Eve at midnight.
